The LEONSEGS project was featured at this symposium, with Martin Sudmanns from partner PLUS making a presentation titled “An Overview over Open-source Earth Observation Data Cube Infrastructures: Perspectives, Challenges, Opportunities.”

LEONSEGS project successfully hosted its first online workshop, “Earth Observation Data: Bridging the Gap Between New Space Players and Users, on 17 June 2025. The event brought together New Space Players and EO services users to explore the transformative potential of Earth Observation (EO) platforms across numerous sectors, including agriculture, environmental monitoring, urban planning, finance, and more.

The LEONSEGS project (Large Earth Observation New Space Ecosystem Ground Segment) is excited to announce the opening of registrations for its upcoming online workshop “Earth Observation Data: Bridging the Gap Between New Space Players and Users.” The event will take place online on Tuesday, 17 June 2025, at 10:00am Central European Summer Time (CEST).

On 21 February 2025, HaDEA and DG DEFIS hosted in Brussels a Workshop on EU-funded R&I for Earth Observation (EO) Technologies. The hybrid event brought together approximately 50 participants from 8 EU-funded Earth Observation projects and LEONSEGS was one of the projects invited. LEONSEGS participated, through its partner Paris Lodron University of Salzburg (PLUS), in the 43rd EARSeL Symposium, held in Manchester from June 17th to 20th, 2024. This prestigious international conference focused on research exchange in Earth Observation (EO) and attracted a diverse audience of around 200 researchers, students and professionals from Earth and environmental sciences that work with remotely sensed data.
